Teton Gravity Research's Jeremy Jones' Trilogy of films requires a grand presentation, and Crux Events helped make that happen with the ECO Spot 2500 Large Scale Projector. Hosted at Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Olympic Valley, California, the event featured the world premier of Jones' latest film, "Higher." The film features snowboarding in some of the world's highest, and most beautiful, locations, including the Eastern Alaska Range and the Himalayas of Nepal.
Held on September 6, visitors enjoyed the film, an after party and 2-for-1 lift tickets to the ski resort. Additionally, attendees met the athletes that starred in the film, and were entered to win one of many prizes, including a Jones snowboard and gear from Patagonia and O'Neill. The after party was DJed by DJ Man-Cat. Proceeds from the after party went to the High Fives Foundation, a non-profit that helps athletes with debilitating injuries through recovery and promotes safety and awareness through different sport disciplines.
Crux Events used an ES-2500, the ECO Spot 2500 Large Scale Projector, to illuminate the mountain backdropping the stage. The projection distance is 2,800ft and the resulting image size almost 300ft. Crux has used the ES-2500 for a wide variety of events, relying on its range and powerful 2500W to throw custom gobo designs on nearly any surface, be it a mountain or the side of a building. Crux rents equipment for a wide variety of events as well, from stage performances to weddings.
